Norman B. Willis has written many other books, such as Nazarene Israel: The Original Faith Of The Apostles,Torah Government,The Original Faith,The Roman-Islamic Beast, etc.He says about himself, "When I was first called into the Messianic Movement, it seemed to me that the quickest way ... was to do as Yeshua and His apostles had done: that is, to start with Second Temple Period Judaism, and reject everything that contradicts with the Torah. However... I began to realize that we cannot always see what conflicts with the Torah; and so I began to realize that a ... surer approach is... to begin with the instructions of Elohim (i.e., Torah)." (Pg. 146)
He says the purpose of this 2009 book is "not to exhaustively determine in exact detail what happened in the first century, but only to show what the Torah commands, so that we can keep the Torah Calendar correctly in the present day, no matter how our ancestors (whether Jewish or Ephraimite) may have kept it."(Pg. 136)
Early in the book, he poses the question, "But if the disciples [of Yeshua/Jesus] were not taught to keep Sunday, Christmas or Easter, then how did these things oome about? How did the original Torah Calendar 'drift' to where it is today, with so many Christians keeping days of worship and rest that are nowhere commanded in the word of YHWH?" (Pg. 17)
He states, "Even though many Christian churches teach that the day of worship was changed from the evening-to-evening Sabbath to the midnght-to-midnight Sunday at Yeshua's resurrection, we shall see [Acts 13:14] that the Apostle Shaul (Paul) still continued to go into the synagogues on the Sabbath long after Yeshua's resurrection... Some mainstream churches tell us that since Yeshua fulfilled the Torah perfectly, the days of worship and rest have been changed from the Sabbath and Hebrew festivals to Sunday, Christmas and Easter. However, this doctrine is curious, considering the words 'Sunday,' 'Christmas,' and 'Easter' never appear in Scripture." (Pg. 14)
He points out, "Most Christians have been taught that Yeshua was born on December 25th. However, Yeshua could not have been born in winter, because Luke 2:8 shows us that there were shepherds keeping watch over their flocks at that time... In Israel, flocks are not typically let out to pasture in the winter... Yeshua was conceived in the middle of winter (probably during Hanukkah time), and was born some nine months later, in the fall, around the time of the Feast of Tabernacles... because HE would be fulfilling the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles." (Pg. 34-35)
He suggests that "While ideally we would all live in the Land of Israel and make the pilgrimages to Jerusalem three times a year... at the time of this writing we are still in the Dispersion and the Temple lies in ruins... The majority of scholars... believe that: 1. Since YHWH has again chosen Jerusalem, but 2. Since no Temple is presently standing, that 3. We cannot sacrifice a lamb until the Temple is rebuilt." (Pg. 104-105)
He has an interesting reconciliation of the date of the Passover during Yeshua's last week: "When Yochanan [John] calls the 'Preparation Day of the Passover' is really the day of the Passover slaughter (i.e., the afternoon of the 14th), as this sometimes thought of as a day of preparation for the Passover meal, which is eaten on the evening beginning the 14th/15th... Yeshua was put to death on the afternoon of the 14th, perfectly fulfilling the Feast of the Passover." (Pg. 114)
He asserts, "What shall we say about man-made observances, such as Hanukkah and Purim? As with Christmas and Easter... we should admit ... these festival days are not commanded by YHWH. Yet YHWH warns us very clearly not to add anything to His instructions..." (Pg. 221) He later continues, "Sunday, Christian and Easter are all converted pagan sun-worship festivals. These festivals ... slowly crept their way into the faith during a great 'falling away' ... YHWH tells us to keep His festivals: so why would anyone who believes in YHWH keep Sunday, Christmas, or Easter?" (Pg. 315) He adds, "it is only our desire to honor the sun, the moon and the stars that caused us to set those days apart." (Pg. 317)
This book will be of keen interest to Messianic believers, and other modern supporters of Christians following "Jewish" laws.

Great book!
Good for deeper study Renew Covenant
Anything written by author, has done a lot of research
I love this book. It is one of the most honest and accurate books concerning the Torah Calendar. I have also ordered more of Norman B. Willis books. He gives allot of scripture to prove the word of God concerning the calendar and also states if he does not have a clear understanding of something. Very honest.
Real truth
Another important book for those of faith. It should be included with Willis' other 2 books-' Nazarene Israel' & 'The Original Faith'.
Awesome! Know what God expects of us and read this book. This is the Law Of Moses, The Torah. God never did away with this Law. Jesus came to fulfill it Not do away with it!
