The Last Child Part 1 is a very interesting book written by Sean Kerr. The opening of this book was rather captivating and drew me right into the story making it difficult to put this book down. The book is rather mysterious and the author doesn't really reveal if the last child is good or evil, not yet at least and it seems that it could go either way, but only time will tell really. The plot is very well developed and rather unique. There are quite a lot of unanswered questions in the first book and I admit I am hooked and need to get the next one to find out more. The pace of the book is just right and makes sense in my eyes. It is never rushed nor did I ever feel like the author was dragging the story out. He spends a good amount of time developing his main characters Samuel and Christina. How these two fall into the greater scheme and the "I Tredici" is still a mystery and I for one can't wait to find out how. This book is definitely a new twist on the apocalypse which I like a lot.
As I said, I like this book quite a lot and have to find out what happens to our main characters next!

The Last Child part 1 A dark and disturbing Supernatural Suspense Thriller eBook Sean Kerr AlternativeEdits Laura McNellis Reviews
I don't know where to begin to describe my experience reading this amazing piece of brilliant literature. I don't think I have ever read anything quite so descriptive (Dead Camp Series came close) Sean Kerr has captured yet again the heartwrenching fears of the MC's to the point I was experiencing heart palpitations fearing for the worse. In the beginning, the Author mentions painting by Hans Feibusch, not being an art connoisseur, I had no idea if this was a real artist or fictional. I, of course, googled him, and OH My LORD, what amazing work this artist has achieved. Just another reason that Mr Sean Kerr is a pure genius, his attention to detail and his research is second to none. This first book, although wasn't necessarily a cliffhanger, it certainly left me wanted more. There is a particular sentence in the book which had me burst out laughing as it was a personal message and those that may know me will certainly understand. Well Done Mr Kerr! Horror, may not be everyone's cup of tea but this book sure is a scary ride not to be missed.
The description it this book is amazing! Sean Kerr has a wonderful imagination and knows how to translate his thoughts into words on paper. Looking forward to seeing how the series goes.
Sean Kerr is very good! I’m not, well I wasn’t a big fan of Horror but I’m a huge fan of Sean’s so I decided, what the hell?
Sean is a very talented writer! This book both scared the S#€^ of me & yet I couldn’t stop reading it! I shakenly brought the other two books!
I adored Sean Kerr’s Dead Camp series and The Last Child has me just as enthralled. Sean has a incredible gift for writing complex story lines that will have you utterly riveted from page one. He is a master at writing heartstopping thrillers with beautifully fleshed out characters. You’ll be invested in the story and it’s characters and on the edge of your seat for the entire ride. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series and I just hope my heart can take the suspense. Highly recommended!
That's how this is going to end? What a thrill ride! This book is going to have you turning pages long after you should have put it down and gone to bed....personal experience. Such a fantastic story and told in a way to keep you coming back for more.
That said, this is a UK based author, so some of the things are a little foreign to US readers, this doesn't take away from the story, just enhances it.
Lastly, I'm primarily a romance reader and have read a couple of Sean's romance books, which helped me decide to take a chance on a horror. Do this. Take the chance. It's worth it.
Opening with a nifty prologue, in which the Seven Deadly Sins personified show up to taunt a dying woman, then jumping ahead two thousand years, this biblical thriller follows an age-old secret society preparing for a prophesied confrontation between the Antichrist and a Merovingian descendant.
Samuel is a misfit orphan, bullied at school, abused at home. His only solace is in his gift for art and inner conversations with ‘the Universe.’ Christina, one of his teachers, lost her parents in a fiery tragedy when she was young, admires his talent, and stands up for him even when it gets her in trouble with the headmistress.
Little does Christina know her own long-destined part in what’s about to unfold. Even her best friend has been keeping secrets … not only from her, but in defiance of fellow conspirators. Around them, the state of the world is steadily worsening, with wars and other conflicts building toward a terrible conclusion.
And something else is on the move, something no longer contented just with punishing bullies. Something vengeful and hideous from the darkest shadows, something with an avid taste for suffering and blood.
Decently written and entertaining, though ending on an abrupt to-be-continued cliffhanger, it’s The DaVinci Code meets The Omen.
This author has proven again how very talented he really is. I thought his Dead Camp Series was amazing this new series he started is hast as amazing as Dead Dead Camp. I’ve been following this author for 2 years and his work just takes my breath away. Must read this summer.
