When you're 200 trillion miles from home . . .
With mankind on the brink of economic collapse, a population growing at an unmanageable rate and a limited supply of natural resources, there is only one place we can look to for our future . . . the stars. A deep space mining tug is sent to a planet codenamed New Dawn to begin a mission to relocate humanity.
. . . the only person you can trust . . . is you
The mission falls into chaos when a crewmember dies unexpectedly. Geologist Jake Brooks must keep his wits about him to uncover what really happened—but are the confines of the ship clouding his judgment? Is there really a sinister motive behind the death—and the mission—or is he letting his mind get the better of him? What really awaits him on New Dawn? He must push on to reveal the truth, no matter who or what stands in his way . . .
Please note New Dawn is not a hard sci-fi novel.
Here's what people are saying about New Dawn
"The suspense is killing me!"

New Dawn eBook Andrew J Morgan
I like science fiction, but this book had way too much dialogue and not enough action. Some things were preposterous such as the geologists going on this mission had practically no preparation as a group before this 8 month mission to assess another planet for future population by Earthlings. And why this planet? Was nothing closer that was more similar to Earth? It seems like this planet--New Dawn--has no vegetation, has more gravity than Earth, and is cold. Who'd want to live there? And how do they know so much about about this storm that's coming and how it will act? I can suspend some reality, but this book just ask too much. The station mentioned at the end has hardly been mentioned earlier in the book, so I was confused by what it actually was. I did like Vessel, but this one--not so much.Product details

New Dawn eBook Andrew J Morgan Reviews
The melodrama is pronounced only after an apocalyptic event leaving us with an uncertainty of an ending. Perhaps we will find out in another 37 years the outcome.
Easy reading and hard to put down. The story was compelling from beginning to end. Now I am ready to start off with the first book he wrote..
If you can live with artificial gravity and antigravity, and are not too fussy about details, you may find it an engaging and suspenseful story. It may make a good movie.
Pretty good book, story a little to wordy for me. Lots of psychology and analysis. Characters were good and woven into the story line. Surprises and twists held interest well enough to hang in there till the end.
I have read three of Andrews books already. They have all been good stories, unique, and not easy to put down. I look forward to reading whatever his next book will be. I have already read Noah's Ark and enjoyed that story is well. It is definitely worth picking up one of his books and giving it a read.
Fine novel with an excellent plot and character development. A must read. Really looking forward to reading more from Andrew Morgan.
Dramas in human interactions, manipulations, conspiracies and ploys are set up in many scenarious and context Sci-Fi being one of the most popular. Place a group of people into responsibilites and roles, set them into the confinement of a spacecraft with months required for their journey with their daily chores to a little understood destination, have them experience the unexpected - not from the space or the spacecraft but from human interactions - and what do you get? - A study in psychology who done what; why did they do it; and, will it happen to me? Most stories of this genre play on the strengths then insecurity and fears of the main characters, and this story follows that path with an totally surprising outcome! Place yourself into the story line, consider the events, and introspect how you (the reader) would react!
